About

Joseph Reo holds a Bachelors of Science Degree from Arizona State University and is a graduate of the Baltimore School of Massage and Holistic Studies. He is a licensed, nationally certified massage therapist and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. He has maintained a private practice in downtown Washington for over fifteen years. His modalities include Swedish relaxation massage, Deep Tissue work for chronic pain problems, and Sports Massage.

Joseph is also an adjunct professor at The George Washington University in the Department of Exercise Science where he teaches both a Swedish and Sports massage course, and is the instructor for the Introduction to Meditation class. All three classes are also taught at Carroll Community College in Westminster, MD.

He has been a guest lecturer at the Baltimore School of Massage, and teaches couples massage classes at various massage schools and adult education centers in the Greater Washington area. Invited as a professional speaker, he lectures to university classes, associations, local businesses, and health clubs, on massage, meditation, fitness, and alternative health.

Joseph has been a professional actor for over ten years working in film, print, and voice-over narration. He has narrated children’s educational and health programs for The Discovery Channel, National Geographic and Nickelodeon. As a member of SAG, The Screen Actors Guild, he has volunteered through their foundation, BookPALS, reading stories to children at Garrison Elementary School.

He is a certified, Group Exercise Instructor with AFAA (The Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) and teaches classes in Athletic Stretching, YOGA, and Tae-Kwon-Kickboxing. He is also a long distance runner, swimmer and cyclist.
